Those are not "dark" halos around the stars, but just colorless halos.
It is because the RGB image is too low resolution, bright stars are too big and cannot give color information to the high resolution L channel.

Yes. Kodak E100 film. The one I took perviously with FSQ. I have not enough time to shoot RGB as it became couly just after L channel was finished. The resolution of film is very low so there is "dark color halo" around bright star. Taking RGB is necessary so there is no room to be lazy.
