The long axis of the shadows (& all small features) are not the same direction as their motion, it should be collimation problem rather than long shooting time problem.
BTW, when shooting the Jupiter, we always have to make decision between keeping noise low (stack more frames) and keeping features not blurred by the rotation (stack fewer frames). There is no formula to calculate a "best" frame number, it depends on the equipments, seeing and transparancy.

The length of each video is around 1 min 40 seconds. I think it is likely to be collimation problem since, although I collimate each time, I don't usually go for very high accuracy. This was okay when I used to shoot with C8+TV2.5x under poor seeing. Now, with C8+TV3x and good seeing, the problem begins to show and I will probably spend more time on collimation next time.
BTW, seeing was actually only really good for the first few videos. For the later frames, the seeing was so bad and it is almost a miracle that so much detail is pulled out after processing.
The total time of the animation was almost 1 hour. The seeing became so bad near to the end (The round edge of Jupiter was seriously distorted most of the times.) that I had to stop this exercise.
Personally, I prefer the animation taken on 19-8-2008. It is fun to see the satellites coming out of Jupiter's edge.
