M27 narrowband

My first attempt at narrowband imaging!

Imaging session was interrupted and cut short by clouds and setup problems. Only managed to take 5m Ha and 20m O-III. Anyway, below is my attempt to compose a false color image using Ha as Red and O-III as both blue and green.

8" f/10 LX200R on EM-200, ST-2000XM, Astrondon filters

Which channel should I put the LRGB if Ha and OIII had already occupied two channels (blue and green) in false colors?

Yes, image taken in Tai Po on my roof top.

noodle: I love to add SII and more data. But the session was cut short by clouds and setup problems. My EM-200 suddenly was unable to track smoothly. Still unable to figure out the reason. Hope it works ok during the coming trip...

tommy: since narrowband images are purely false colors. Color assignment/manipulation is really up to you! I wish to use SII for the blue channel. But haven't got any SII data yet... There are some popular treatments such as the Hubble pallete etc. But the mix and match is limited only by your own imagination. You can be as creative as you like. Thats the fun of narrowband imaging.
