2020 November 10 - Asteroid occultation event.

(983) Gunila (mag. 15.26) / TYC 0795-00016-1 (mag. 9.9) event on 2020 Nov 10, 19:18 UT
I've prepared finder charts from:
Digital Sky Survey (15 x 15 arcmin) and The Sky 6 (15x11 arcmin)

IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
(983) Gunila / TYC 0795-00016-1 event on 2020 Nov 10, 19:18 UT
Visible from China, New Guinea


Summary
-------
On 2020 Nov 10 UT, the 85.1 km diameter asteroid (983) Gunila will occult a 9.9
mag star in the constellation Cancer for observers along a path across China,
New Guinea.

In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star
will drop by 5.40 mag to 15.26 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most
7.8 seconds.

This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly
provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill
Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet
Center.

This work has made use of data from the European Space Agency (ESA)
mission Gaia (http://www.cosmos.esa.int/gaia), processed by the
Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium
(DPAC, http://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/dpac/consortium).
Funding for the DPAC has been provided by national institutions, in
particular the institutions participating in the Gaia Multilateral Agreement.
