=============================================== IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
(107) Camilla / TYC 0727-00676-1 event on 2013 Mar 09, 16:07 UT
Visible from S China, India, Africa
Summary
-------
On 2013 Mar 09 UT, the 267 km diameter asteroid (107) Camilla will occult a 11.0
mag star in the constellation Taurus for observers along a path across S China,
India, Africa.
In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star
will drop by 2.1 mag to 13.0 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most
21.5 seconds.
This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly
provided by Alice Monet, TMO astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill
Owen, historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following
catalogs for the star position: UCAC.

Observation of this 2nd occultation is undrway
The sky is very clear tonight.
Stars fainter than 16th mag are recorded with my StellarCam III, at just 10 second exposures.
Asteroid Camilla is located and is seen moving towards the target star.
