Telescope :- Celestron C-11 (at f/18 for ASI130MC, f/25 for DBK21AU618)
Mount :- CPC1100 , reconstructed for full robotic operation.
Camera set 1
Barlow lens :- MIZAR ETL-2, 1.8X. ( modified )
Camera :- ZWO ASI130MC + Astronomik IR Block filter
Camera set 2
Barlow lens :- TeleVue 2.5X powermate
Camera :- DBK21AU618
Capturing software :- SharpCap.
Resolution :- 640 x 480
Stacking software :- Registax 5.0 ( I found Registax 6 is being difficult to use )
Exposure :- 1/30 sec for 3000 frames for both cameras.
Gain :- 90 for ASI130MC, 996 for DBK21AU618
Gamma :- 50
White Balance :- Camera auto.
Site :- Causeway Bay.
Sky stability :- 7/10
Sky transparency :- 8/10
Two camera shot Saturn at nearly the same time under the same night to make comparisons. Time was consumed to change cameras and barlows but I tried to shorten the time lag as much as possible. It seemed that while shooting with the ASI camera the stability was a little bit better.
Results showed that the ASI camera , under very careful post processing, is able to reduce its noises significantly. The result is quite comparable to DBK21AU618.
Another advantage of the ASI camera is that it has rather small pixel size, with means that the image could have more pixels (hence more information) even at lower f/ratio. This reflects in the image size – at f/18 the ASI produces an image even bigger than the DBK working at f/25, both cameras have same resolution of 640 X 480. You can see in the attached images.
However it is the DBK that obviously has higher quality image, under the same sky condition, after all.

- Saturn captured by DBK21AU618 camera at same night at 8:16 p.m. The image is very smooth making post-processing easy. Even at f/25, the image is still obviously smaller than that by ASI at f/18.

- Image from ASI120MC at f/18 at 7:30 p.m. Though at lower f/ratio, its image is still bigger than that captrured by DBK camera. Careful post-rocessing is applied to reduce moises as much as possible. Result is not that bad.

Very nice Saturn!!
Both images are wonderful!
Also, Congratulations! your CPC finally starts a good production.
Good comparison of two cameras, and very informative particularly for me...
