I was attacked once in Chung Chau while gazing stars. Though it did not poison me but my toe felt real painful.

蜈蚣（Chilopoda）又作吳公[1]，又稱百足蟲、百腳蟲[2]、蝍蛆[3]、天龍[4]。是一種有毒腺的、掠食性的陸生節肢動物。
蜈蚣咬傷通常只有局部之症狀，只需症狀治療即可，一般並無大礙，但是兩小時內自然毒素過敏性休克之可能性，需永遠銘記在心。

灣的蜈蚣不會咬死人！

蜈蚣咬傷的症狀：

非常痛！！！而且會痛上好幾個小時
可以看到一或兩個咬痕
傷口的附近會紅腫並有發熱的感覺
有時會出現發燒、胸悶的現象
很小部份的人可能因感染而產生淋巴腺炎、心跳不規則
症狀在幾天後就會完全復原

There seems so many in Chung Chau.
I recall a similar story happened years ago in a star party, also in cheung-chau. The morning after Saturday night and shortly before breakfast time, most joiners waked up and hurried for breakfast, suddenly, "WOO!!" a shout from one of us in the room, who instantly felt himself was deeply bitten by some unknown insect just the moment he put his leg into his sport-shoes. And quickly confirm there was a few-inches Chilopoda inside his sport-shoe. He felt quite painful and was quickly picked up to cheun-chau hospital by his friends, no serious harm to life.

It seems that some insects like special smells...
Thoughtful Warning : Pay attention when you wearing your sport-shoes in the morning wherever you are enjoying your star party.
