If the mirror is thick enough ( I think your mirror should be in the thickness of 2 inches ) there is no need to provide a 18 points floatation cell. Double sided foaming tapes on a flat aluminium plate will work quite well. If you have made a 18 points cell, just ignore how big or how small the contact surfaces are. They will still work fine anyhow.
My 14 inch mirror has a thickness of only 1 inch, supported by 9 foam tapes, still performs well.

感谢育伦兄的指教!我那主镜厚度为42MM,因此我以为相对其实际镜面口径(360MM)厚度也许还是小了些。因为我的确没有制过这样大的口径的牛反,所以为了以防万一,我选择了18点支撑。(早年制过226MM的牛反,但那时是15、6年前的事情了,那时的加工、材料等条件很不好,所以当时没用多点浮动支撑,后来的实际效果一般,因为可能的因素太多,所以此次也就选择了多点支撑)。
