It si not advisable to get the EEEpc if just for its long battery life, as you may connect the NB to the telescope. This will increase the power requirement muchand the battery will not last that long.

There is a Lithium power pack sold in Golden Arcade which is very suitable for star gazers.

Output ports : 9-12V for CCD, 16-20 V for notebook and USB (5 V).

The 3 outputs are separate sowe can connect everything at the same time. It is about the size of the EEEPc 701.
