Seems the focuser aligns with one side of the spider vanes. The disadvantage is any protruding draw tube in case of application of some corrector/reducer lens will produce diffraction spikes not in same length. Focuser forming 45deg with the vanes is preferred.
Of course the possible use of these correctors should be fully considered in determining the back focus distance.
