2017 December 24 Sun - AR12692
The solar surface is still dominated by AR12692. Flares show up in the region between the leading and following sunspots. The sunspots are distributed along a E-W line that extends more than 15 degrees in longitude.
Telescope: AP Starfire EDT 155 mm f/9.
stopped to 50 mm (f/28) for disc images, with 4X telecentric lens (f/36) for closeups
filter: Solar Spectrum SO1.5/0.3A with CERF prefilter
