Sure. I am still waiting for a stable sunny weekend for this activity. Actually the buyer of my LS60TDS50 came last weekend and I showed him all the stuffs and photo-processing methods, but the weather didn't cooperate.

This toy is mine, not school's. But it doesn't really matter because I let my students use it anyway. (And my students and I obviously use school's equipment as well.) The eyepiece, however, is borrowed from a local amateur.

In fact, I have trained my students to set up my 18"UC as well a few weeks ago. Now I can just cross my arms and let them do the work.

Wow, I have had a 10 minute first-light observation on the sun with this very portable set up. I was completely blown away by the fantastic sight.

The sun is particularly active today (by the standard of solar minimum) with a big prominence and one sunspot. With this filter, the solar disk was so full of details that could be very easily seen. It reminds me of the view in the double stack LS60TDS50 set up, but this LS75F is just a single stack which is not expected to give so much details. Furthermore, lots of people worried about the 3 obstructions in the filter which may lower the contrast. After having one look in the eyepiece, all worries were instantly forgotten. I still cannot believe the amazing contrast that this single filter gives!
