見到Wah! 介紹呢個光學設計軟件,記起早前睇過一個ATM 網站入邊有講自製不同的望遠鏡,有牛頓式、RC等等,有D都有用S/W 去設計,各位可以睇下Wah! 寫:MODAS是著名的免費光學設計軟件,並有專門為自製鏡而設的計算工具TMT Calculator.

Dear Mr. 250,XR250 寫:好奇一問,如果造一枝8吋f15的classical cassegrain用來睇或用toucam拍攝行星,會唔會好過f10的c8好多呢?
Aperture to aperture a Cassegrain is doomed to be far inferior than a Newtonian for the following reasons :-
1. high central obstruction - nothing can beat a Newtonian in this respect. No matter it is a SCT, Classical Cassegrain or RC, the central obstaruction are bound to be 25% or higher comparing to 20% or less for a Newtonian.
2. Magnification factor of the secondatry - most Cassegrain's secondary has a magnification ratio of 4 to 5 times which means than the error of the primary, if any, will be magnifiied by same amount. Most primaries for Classical Cassegrain are fast paraboloid which means that it's very difficult to guarantee its surafce precision. Newtionian, on the other hand, has a very great advantage of being better chance of being equipped with primary of much higher quality due to the relative ease of facbricating precision paraboloidal mirror of high f/number. One exception is the Schmidt Cassegrin and Maksotov where they employ spherical prinmary which is very easy to manufacture to very high smoothness and precision.
So if you are considering yourselves a planetary shooting feverist my advice is to stick to a long Newtonian or simply use a C-11. A Maksotov is also a very good choice but I'm afraid that a big one will empty your wallet quite soon.
