Mr Sodium,

If you only see an orange ball of Mars, most probably your mirror surface is not a paraboloid. Judging from the fact that Mars has a visual angle of more than 20 arc sec right now, any telescope bigger than 2 inches aperture must show some details on Mars surface.

Take your mirror to me tomorrow at 1030 astro room tomorrow, I will arrange a test on your mirror surface to see how good your paraboloid is.

低倍以致睇唔到火星表面都唔奇架!
今年的目鏡係25mm,所以唔會好高倍.
